Ben does work on homes.  He is licensed and also does projects such as home winterizing.  The cost is about $150.  That includes draining and blowing the water out of lines, draining the hot water tank, putting anti-freeze in toilet tanks, etc.  Ben is licensed as a real estate broker with kw, so he can access listed homes on his own.

I have used Bode's Electric for electrical work on both my home and my rental over the years and have always been satisfied with their work.  A very good electrician they employ is Joe.

Caliber Mortgage is an established firm that is highly regarded.  It has an office in the Barkley square area.  Ask for Dustin or Brian (360-920-5713).  There is also an office in Birch Bay if that is more convenient.  Jim Ross runs that branch office, and he does a professional job also.  This endorsement is specific to the teams named.  There are other teams, and I choose not to endorse them.  Can also call 360-398-5835.

Chicago Title is one of the leading Title Companies in our area.  It is also a major national player, with a good reputation.  You will find Jason both professional, and easy to work with.

I can tell you little about this title company as it recently opened in Bellingham.  A local company, it has branches in Whatcom, Skagit and Island Counties, and has good reviews.

Agent representing local branch of national company.  Does Conventional, FHA, VA, and Farm loans.  This firm will: a.  Work with Canadians on loans.  b.  Will do loans 1 year after bankruptcy. c.  Can do 24 hr. preapproval.  d.  Can do 1977+ manu. loans.  e.  Has a contact that will do single wides (higher rates.   

There are several reputable inspection companies that service the area.  King of the House is one of them.

Miguel Valdez Floor Cover/Carpets is a locally owned business that has been in operation for several decades.  I have used them several times both personally and professionally, and have been impressed with the quality, speed and reasonable cost of their work.  Need to replace that carpet in order to sell your home, or just got your dream home, but need new carpets or flooring?  Consider Miguel's.

Home mortgage company.  Unlike most, this company will provide mortgages on manufactured homes built before 1980 or single wide.  Loans require that the credit score must be 680+, able to pay 10%+ down, and as of 4/23.21, rates on a 30 year loan are between 5-6%.  The banks # is 206-436-3150.

Vacation Rentals By Owner is a site for those wanting to rent a home, landlords wanting to rent out their homes, property managers, etc.  You can rent a home out for 3-4 days or longer.  A national company, not just Washington or Birch Bay.

A company that specializes in the Birch Bay area, provides a list of available condos for rental; for a night, weekend or longer.  Includes price, dates available and provided amenities.  Address is 7530 Birch Bay Drive.  Includes Jacob Landing, Cabana Club and Semiahmoo properties.

A reputable bank for getting pre-approval.  This mortgage institution is willing to work with Canadians on setting up a home mortgage loan.
